   wardyworld

   Is it recommended to have an full service or an oil service before a Remap?
   
   Few points:
   I'm not due a service for another 6,000 miles.
   The oil is not at max (but no where near minimum)
   I'm not sure what oil was used on last service
   
   So should I top up the oil with 5w/40 fully synth or would it be best to get at least an oil change?

   Hello, I would change the oil so you are sure you put something decent before a remap, people are talking good about Fuchs, Motul and a good Chiptuner(Renault Sport) here in Spain recommends Elf...so you choose.

   It certainly won't harm anything doing an oil change for the cost of some oil and a filter why not.
