Have noticed oil weeping out of maybe 2 bolts holding in the cam cover. Not a massive amount but there none the less. Anyone know if this is a garage job or can be ' self done ' by loosing the bolts and applying a sealant to them ? Presume it is a garage job as cover holds cams in place on this engine (F4RT). Thanks.
Yeah as above this is fairly common, clean the oil around the bolts, loosen them slightly one at a time, add a little Loctite Gasket or similar to the thread and then tighten it back up and do the next one - Be careful as they have to be torqued right 12NM I believe
Thanks for the replies. Was wondering if they needed a certain torque so will have to borrow a torque wrench now lol.
