R26 Oil for fast road and track

  1. On the F4R in n/a form I found 10w60 was best for coping with track use and revs to 7500rpm. 5w50 worked ok too although the 10w60 seemed a little better.

On the turbo the rpm is lower but you've got the added heat from the turbo.

So what do people run for track use?

  2. I use Motul 300V in 5W40 grade

Never really crossed my mind chasing the grade

  3. I suppose there's no dephaser to worry about with the oil getting thinner when it's hot on the Megane.

I used to run Millers 5w40, now it's on 10w60 on the recommendation of Paul at RS Tuning.

He said anything over 300hp or track days go for the higher grade.
