Hello mate, I don't think you'd get away with anything less than et45, but I may be wrong. My TD 1.2's are et45 and fill the arches perfectly, I think with a 40 there would possibly be too much "poke". Cheers, Si Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
i found et45 wheels made my R26 behave oddly when cornering. Didnt realize how much more planted the car felt on standard offset wheels, until i put them back on.
Thanks Andrew, after reading your post I've tried doing as much digging as possible on people's feedback on wheel choice and a lot of people report the same. Et45 is definitely the way to go to fill the arches and make the car look right but not ideal for handling, and it does seem to cause tramlining and not as positive turn in.
Tramlining.... Yes! I find the turn-in fine, the car did feel a bit different initially, but not off-putting. Sent from my LYA-L09 using Tapatalk
well..its the scrub radius that being changed. My car still wore the tyres even. But certainly never felt as sure footed, on the low offset.
I have noticed that all the serious track and race megane 2s i na e seen have stuck with the original wheels I wore the outside of my tyres quite significantly on my track day and have been told more camber helps this but only worth doing on a track only/mainly car
