Not your usual window regulator issue...

    This is a strange one,

Bought a new module to replace the broken drivers one (it did well bless it, lasted 11 years!)

    Worked like a charm.

Weirdly now when going up it will go up a third of the way and drop back down a little, as it would do if it detected anything in the way - obviously there is nothing in the way, it's uber sensitive! It also loses it's memory of the one touch function - you have to reset it again after every time.

Going down it works perfectly, just up.

What confuses me the most though is if you turn the engine off it works perfectly?! I can't understand how having the engine off alters the functionality of the module?

Just hoping someone else had heard of this one!

  2. Get it to the top and hold the button in the up position for 5 sec to set it!

^^^ Yeah but then I have to do it every time the window has a hissy!

  4. Have you checked the wiring connection where the door meets the main bodywork

    Yeah, no issues.

  6. Possible fault with new module,it might be worth switching from 1 side to the other. I've had to order all new motor for drivers side due to old one burning out.

  7. Sorry to jump on this thread but I also have a not so usual issue. After wiring in a new plug and fitting new module my window goes down a little bit at a time but it won't go up, I've done memory reset and it's not worked. I've tried swapping wires around in case that's the issue and it's all dead until I get it in an exact position as it is now. Then the motor clicks with the window down as if it's still wanting to go down further. Please help, could it be that the wire for going back up is knackered as the original plug burnt out.
