   Hi I just bought an r26 last week and was wondering what the temp gauge normally reads.. My car sits at just the first notch and only passes when I accelerate for longer periods of time but it quickly drops again to this mark..it means that I cannot accelerate past 5000rpm due to the limiter coming in early...
   
   Does anyone have any ideas why this may be or what to do? Thanks

   Thermostat needs changing, the needle once half way should stay there.

   they all go, £20 for a new one i think and about £10 for type d coolant

   Yeah mine stays at half way point after the first 5-10mins of driving. Doesnt change regardless of the driving style after that
