Had the car in bits this weekend to change the suspension and brake discs/pads . . . Changing the struts was a pig of a job to do for the first time! I used spring compressors and left the hubs attached but it was a learning curve to say the least! I wonder if leaving the hubs just hanging there with the driveshaft and track rod end taking the weight has caused something to pop out. Because I went to check the steering whist the car was still on axel stands and the wheels off and the steering wheel is clicking?? There was some play in the NSF inner track rod before I carried out the work, not sure if that's relevant at all. Anyone else experienced this?
What's the issue? It's not steering at all? Is it all built up? The track rod joints won't detach from hanging. They are designed to take the tension and compression of the axial loads from the front wheels. Still not sure what you are saying RS 175 Cup Lux
