Recently fitted a short shift linkage , been in the car for about a week now and its just stopped going into sixth gear no grinding or noise's it's as if there is no sixth gear it just won't allow you to move the gear stick down from fifth . Every other gear is fine no issues what so ever ....... can anyone help ????
What short shift? Engine dynamics/ k Tec/ Andrew Jeff's etc? Although my first port of call would be to look at the actuator on the gearbox end while someone else changes gear to see if everything is aligned right
its an engine dynamics shifter which I bought brand new , ok I'll give that ago just seems strange it was like it happend over night
Did you ever end up diagnosing the problem? I seem to have the same issue. The 6th gear has just without warning disappeared - No crunching, no grinding. All other gears engage fine. It just doesn't shift into 6th at all.
