So i got my second megane another standard 225 with just aback box delete, but i just had the gearbox cable pop out so no 5th 6th or reverse gear. I dont know much about this issue so took it to the garage he put the cable back in im assuming as i got the gears back again for around 30 mins till it must have popped off again, so i had a look and tried to get my hand down there but i haven't a clue how to reattach the cable as i cant really see very well down there.he did say the clip is broken on the cable so my question is, is there any quick/diy fix? really need to be able to get about as its my only car at the moment.
They clip onto a metal nipple on the actuator. You may need to take the battery and tray out plus the ECU. If it keeps coming off then the only option I would say is a new cable.
