This stunning Gtr was recently in for a new car protection detail with modesta bc-05 as the coating.

Car upon arrival, only had around 700 miles on the clock.

Onto the wash stage, car was sprayed with citrus pre wash, pulling a nice amount of dirt off before washing:

    The rinsed off:

Then washed with zymol auto bathe and the 2 bucket method. Wheels also done with britemax ironmax:

Car was then rolled into the garage and clayed, as with most new cars now quite abit of contamination:

Onto the paint measurements, these help for any polishing work but also to tell me if the car has had any repairs (you would be suprised the amount of new cars with minor repairs)

Paintwork was in great condition but I did see afew little marks and with modesta the finish underneath is key as you wont get past modesta easily and looked after it can be on the paint for up to 10 years, so decided to polish with a 3m black pad and menza sf4000 on the flex.

Giving abit more gloss and showed the pearl off more:

The onto the preparation for Modesta, spies and heckler was used for the initial wipedown which removes anything which will stop it bonding perfectly, only problem being it makes the surface squeeky clean, this can lead to marring upon application so the car is then re wiped down with a 50/50 mix of ipa. Temperature check, best between 18 and 28.

This was the finish after application, it gets better over a 24 hour period and fully sets in 2 weeks:

Wheels off arches coayed, rears with fabric guard, front's with a plastic coating, wheel's had modesta, same with the calipers:

Inside was full fabric guarded and the leather also protected:

Then the glass cleaned and coated with g1 removed with g2:

This was what greeted me in the morning:

To keep the Modesta protected, allow the full time to cure and help improve durability:

It can be cured with an infra red lamp to speed up the curing process but had the car long enough for it to cure nicely.
