Owned the car now for roughly 4 months now and purchased it off Dan@SJM, for the mileage/spec I've been more than happy! Purchased purely as an upgrade from the Mk2 Clio RS' which is truly has been, everything feels more solid and composed plus having a turbocharged car is nice! The spec here as follows, one of four...

    2006 (55) Renaultsport Megane 225
    82k Miles
    Moonlight Blue
    Cup Packed
    Cruise Control
    Climate Control
    Keyless Entry/Start
    Auto Wipers/Lights
    6 Disk CD Changer

The car with only a couple of modifications, a map done by Dan himself and a small cheapy K&N cone filter. He said the car was making around 260bhp and similar torque which I was happy about, having not had a turbocharged car for a while the drive back was rather fun! The great thing about the car was the service history and that it was up to date and comprehensive, you could clearly tell as like the clios the unloved ones are noticeably rougher than the good ones.

Plans for the car were to just carry on servicing/maintaining it and enjoy it, no major plans for lots of horsepower or noisy exhausts. Then in time just refresh the suspension etc when it needs it and maybe get the little exterior/interior marks that come with age sorted...

    Cheers for looking!

  2. The annual Surrey rolling road day was coming up so thought I'd pop along to see how the Meggy was running...

Charlie said that the car was running absolutely fine in terms of safety on the engine, however the standard recirc valve may be weak which is why it wasn't making the figures told by Dan. It wasn't long after this the I started getting an irregular misfire/hesitation also under full throttle/load, so now on the case to sort both these issues. Has anyone else had similar problems? What was the fix? Any help is always appreciated!

    Cheers

  3. probably worth changing the recirc valve if its thought to be faulty, check the plugs are in good nick with the correct gep too, (0.7mm)
coil packs might be worth changing after that
