There was a turbo re-call for a few 2013 cars but the rest are good. The re-map is not done via obd & doesn't show a flash count. It can be flashed back to stock & merc can't tell. This has been tested recently where someone had a gearbox failure.
Not at all they are forged & blueprinted from the factory. Both litchfield & ren tech have 460bhp maps out & they restricted the torque to 450ftlb as the gearbox is struggling over that. They can get 500ftlb but the clutch packs slip. Lee
It's really good. The grip is amazing even at over 400bhp, the build quality is good but not to e class standards. It's a small car & does have the odd rattle, 0-60 is less than 4 seconds & you can feel it. The turbo comes on full boost at 2.5k revs & gives you a good kick in the back. If I compare it to my previous e92 m3 competition I would say it's better round town & on the twisties but the m was better on motorway runs. I've not been on track with it as I have the Meg for that but I would imagine that it would understeer a fair bit but would be damn quick out of the corners & on the straights. The brakes are mega too with no diving on the front no matter how hard you stomp on them. Lee
As with everything (except my old RS6 never seemed to do anything other than 17mpg)! I read you can get 40mpg out of it if driving sensibly?
The best I've seen is 37mpg & that was at 65mph on the motorway. Combined is around 28mpg. My e92m3 did a combined of 21mpg & on a motorway averaged 28mpg. Lee
I was going to have my R26 for two years then trade it in for a 275 cup s but I've got pretty fond of it now after 18 months of ownership! I prefer the look of the R26 and don't see any about ! Pretty rare I will eventually get a Cup S but I might hold on to the R26 as well ! My mate has 5 Audis (B5 RS4,TT,S3,S3,ur Quattro) so I can't see what's wrong with owning 3 cars ?
A quick 0-60 vid. Got a bit carried away & didn't see how fast I was actually going until I looked afterwards. This was done on the driveway up to my house of course. You will have to watch the clip twice so you can see where the 60mph mark is. Lee
