Anyone from around Newcastle area?? I fancy a sunday morning early b road blast. Nothing too daft but somewhere that wont annoy locals etc?? Any suggestions would be good. Megane is now all sorted and driving how it should. Wouldnt mind starting a group for other local megane owners to meet up as well.
I'd be interested in that, I'm local in Newcastle. I'm not sure how far you want to travel but a fantastic road for driving is the A686 just off the A69. I had a few blips along there in my previous cars, make sure your brakes are in good order haha and be aware of two wheeled thugs. A stop at hart side pass cafe doesn't go a miss and there's often some very special machines parked up.
Looks awesome probably get there in about an hour or so I reckon, think Ill plan something for next weekend. Cheers bud
Honestly be careful of bikers, it's a bit of a haven for them, I had one particularly scary moment in my old ctr on that road! Bike on my side of the road head on, had to swerve at the last minute, needless to say words were had!
I'm from gateshead and I'm a biker so I know loads! If you want really local then the roads around ponteland, stamfordam etc are great on an evening. Then you can head up to Rothbury, then to kielder and once you in the Scottish boarders its heaven. You can do a great lap from Newcastleton to Hawick and back. Only costs about £30 on the bike but more like £70 in the car! Haha
