1. Morning All,

After years of begging my other half finally gave me the ok to treat myself to my turbo megane. So here she is, my 225 Trophy. Completely standard with just 50k on the clock. Unfortunately its a cat c due to being stolen recovered a few years ago.

Picked her up last night and im in love with it. Then spent a few hours scouring the net and ordered a Ktec Racing dump valve kit, Uprated alloy intercoler with hard pipe kit, K&N 57i kit and a set of samcos. Also priced up a Miltek turbo back system inc decat but if anyone can recommend an alternative i would really appreciate it.

A couple of issues need sorting with the car, the first being the gear selector is really stiff which i believe is the nylon bush needs re drilling but ive seen alot of people saying to take advantage and fit the short shift kit at the sane time so i need to source one, again any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. The only other issue is that when the car fires up you can feel the car shake. Apologies for the terminology but it feels grumbly and grindy, like engine mount shot. Alot of vibration if that makes sense. Has anyone come across this?

Looking forward to chatting to you all.

    Steve

Nice car. Just got mine so no idea about the niggly issues. I have Milteks on mine and it sounds great!

  3. Rumbling will be the injectors, either have them cleaned or buy new ones.

  4. Nice motor mate I'm sure you'll enjoy more once the niggles are sorted! In terms of the rumble, I would suggest top engine mount. Pop the bonnet, look at the top left of the engine bay, toward offside or drivers and that's it. Either original parts or power flex can can provide replacements iirc. As suggested above injectors will produce an intermittent cough on idle from the exhaust which if really bad can shudder the car, replacement or ultrasonic cleaning will sort it. She'll v power helped on mine! Hope this helps! Enjoy!

  5. Cheers buddy. I saw a clip on you tube of the Milteks and they sound amazing. Hearing some good things about Scorpion and Ktec too.

Cheers Steve. Ill have a look into it.

Thanks mate, The engine runs beautiful, no coughs or splutters. But when its running its like your sat on the engine itself. Can feel every vibration. Thats what made me think engine mount.

    It WILL be the mounts.

  7. Cheers Daz, It was my first thought. Ill have to have a look into it when I get back from holiday.

  8. It's easy enough to do the short shift yourself on the trophy because it's a phase 1 linkage.
Just drill the hole 20mm closer and refit the original ball.[IMG]

  9. Cheers James. That does look pretty easy. Ive messaged andrewjeffs to see if he can do it and sort this nylon bush issue out. Trying to find a guide for it at the min.

  10. Remove the gear linkage. There is a 14mm bolt hidden under the gearbox mount. All the rest are easy to see.
[IMG]pull it out and drill the nylon bush out. Its on the elbow thing. Add some grease and then refit with your short shift.
    Will feel amazing.

Ignore that shifter in the pic that's a phase 2. The linkage is from my trophy.

  11. Awesome mate. Thanks for that. Stuck in work till 5 but will do it as soon as I get home. Cheers again buddy.
