R26 New valves and springs?

  1. Hi boys, do i really need new valves and springs? Ordered engine dynamics level2 build kit. Is it worth to spend extra £300?

  3. Mine is having an engine dynamics build, in planning on the valves and springs being done too. Whilst it's all apart, for the extra couple of £££ it seems silly not too.
     
  4. Thanks for the replays boys. I am not aiming for big power, max 250 turbo and 300/300 ish, do i need to get uprated or standard will do the job?

  5. I'm running 311/303 at the minute on standard internals so going by my engine, you should be ok.
    Possibly on the limits, that's I'm not sure of but like I say, mine has been ok.
     
  6. Piston ring failure at 282/300
    Only reason for the build, otherwise would spend money on handling upgrades

  8. Jaust orderd the level2 kit. Car is in bits in the garage. Gearbox rebuild driveshafts control arms bushes suspension all in one go

  10. Poping outbof 2nd gear grinding going into third, just to make it feel fresh, diff is more then enough for my abilities

    What suspension you going for? Cooksport?
     
  12. Really want to save for the best i can, AST WOULD BE GREAT, but bc for the third of the price is very very interesting, need to get inthe car with bc fitted, but people having them are rating them high

    I was told a while back if you want fast road/occasional track...don't use coilovers?
