White cup chassis! Only Bluetooth extra unfortunately the poor thing is getting a new gearbox after 38k miles! Well at least renault uk are putting up 80% of the cost! Pictures to follow!
Started to get a whining noise whenever the car would go above 40mph. I took it into Renault and they said that I would need a new gearbox full stop and that if failed.....couldn't believe it! Spoke to RUK and to be fair to them based on the age and mileage and loyalty to Renault they offered to pay 80% of the cost so from £3250.00 to £650.00. I shouldn't expect anything going that badly wrong in a 4 yr old car with 38k on the clock let alone a RS250! Going in on Monday!
Have you had this from new? Any reason for the box to fail so early? To be honest, I'd be pushing for Ren to pay the full amount under the 'not fit for purpose' law that all goods sold in the UK have to adhere to, irrespective of age or implied warranty. At 10 years old or 100k miles you wouldn't have a case but 4yrs & 38k
Yeah I was definitely trying to push for the full amount but that was their best offer and they weren't going to improve it. Renault garage have just said that it needs a new one......the days of trying to fix things are a thing of the past!i will try and find out what went wrong! Just want it back to its best!
Finally got the megane back today and very happy with the result....new gearbox and hopefully no more problems but instead fun fun and more fun! Renault UK customer service is pretty awesome so if you do have huge issues with your car get in touch with them!
