hey so I bought a 225 around a month ago now and i have to admit i'm loving it and at the same time i hate to admit didnt really like french cars in the past, but bought the wife a 05 megane a few years back and her car has out lived my old fiesta and focus mk2, then I saw a 225 local to me at a carwash spoke to the owner and just had to have one love the styling of them. Only problem with the 225 i bought was a dealer px with no history so im going to have a full service, cambelt, waterpump and a new clutch, Im pretty sure its a standard 225 but it came with cup alloys and f1 decals. but i have now removed stickers, and its looking good ! i dont suppose any of you guys and girls was one of the previous 4 owners of this car??? Cheers, I'm really liking the car, its got a few niggles like air bag light on, but i guess its a connector under one of the seats as i have a receipt of it have been cleaned a reset in the past, and every now and again i have the esp asr fault come up but it only lasts till the engines switched on and off again. but apart from that its all good
Be wary of the elecy windows, the mk2 is really bad with them failing all the time any time it rains!
That's very true but at this age, if they are working I would suspect they have been fixed/sorted. OP, welcome along - glad you're enjoying the car. Have a look around - old Renaults seem to out number old Fords, at least where I live anyway. That tells you something when they sell a lot more Fords.
Yeah my wife's mk2 megane rear window stopped working apart the electrics the build quality is good, that I have seen on both of them , I have already had water on the fuse box on hers cleaned it all and and put water tight sealant around it and that has stopped the the electronic problems we have had with her some so I'm going to do the same to mine as a precaution
