Good afternoon I am picking up Mikeh's (and previously belonging to Andy with lots of xxs in his user name) liquid gold R26 F1 this afternoon as a new owner following a deal with my current Golf. This is a bit of return to my early driving days, first 2 cars being R5 GT Turbos. I've had a few hatches over the years (Golfs, Corrados), BMWs, a Caterham, VX220 turbos etc. I'm hoping to get the R26 on track, but currently all my spare time is spent in the saddle. I don't know a huge amount about the R26, but remember being impressed at a LoT day at Cadwell by a tuned R26R holding it's own very well in a field full of blown Exiges, tuned Elises etc. Not sure how long I will own the car for yet, but looking forward to picking it up tonight and taking it out to get to know it!
