Hi, I'm not really new to Renault, had a couple of Ph2 172's and a 182 Cup, I even worked for Renault for a couple of years. I had the last of my 172's and the 182 Cup at the same time the 172 being a track car and the 182 Cup being the wife's daily. Unfotunately the 172 had a small engine bay fire that melted a pulley (although the cambelt survived of sorts), damaged the brake system and a load of wiring. The 172 was broken a couple of weeks ago and toyed with a Mk1 Clio 1.8 16v as I'd always loved them but did a deal to swap the 182 Cup for a 225 in the end. The car is going to do a few track days as well as being my daily. Luckily it's got many of the upgrades I want but does have quite a to-do list on general maintenance. Spec as it stands: '06 225 F1 Edition 630cc injectors RS Tuning Map Forge actuator & re-circ valve Forge intercooler Pipercross filter K-tec 3" cat-back exhaust. From the first few days it's got quite a list but looking forward to getting it sorted: New gear linkage cable (old one cable tied on as the locating clip broken), hopefully no selector damage. Upper engine mount (I suspect as it vibrates somewhat on idle) Tracking, as it's had a track rod end replaced and not been aligned since Boost gauge is pushed into the air vent, need to make a plate for it to mount it securely And then it needs usual stuff like tyres and brakes shortly, a really thorough clean and a couple of dents taking out. Looking forward to getting cracking on the list. Have already found some useful info on the forum so will stick around for more. Tom
Bolton, not up to Kendal too often sadly. Planning on it spending plenty of it's time at Oulton Park as well.
