  1. Just wanted to introduce myself, bought a 225 cup last week and so far loving it,haven't owned a nice sporty car for years,my only complaint is the gear box takes a bit of getting used to,hoping the short shift mod will help with this.car has subtle mods, and is around 246 bhp at the flywheel

  2. Welcome

  3. Welcome. Pictures please.

  4. Thanks guys, will get it cleaned and polished up on the weekend and stick some pictures up, feels nice to have a performance car again after years of driving a 1.5 diesel ☺

Welcome mate  Get some pics up.

Agree. The gear change isn't the nicest.

  10. Welcome. I'm also new to this forum but have had my Megane for just over a year. I to would like to get the short shift mod done but not where to and how much.

  11. For the short shift mod contact andrewjeffs you'l find him in this thread http://www.rsmegane.com/showthread.p...ht=short+shift drop him a pm.
Can't remember exactly how much but i think its around £60-65 (and a refundable deposit) and you sending him your old linkage back or seeing him (IIRC in devon) for him to fit at the same price.
Really helpful bloke will provide you with fitting instructions etc, just make sure you've got some decent drift pins/ punches if you do try to fit it yourself!

  12. I seem to remember seeing the same bloke mentioned on the other forum but didn't know the price. Seems quite reasonable price. I would probably go to him to get it fitted as I wouldn't want to mess it up.

  13. Thanks for the welcome guys, much appreciated, had a pretty good deal on the car off my mate in work, loving it so far and slowly getting used to the gear changes.havent got too many plans at the moment, though reading some of the threads and seeing some of your car's may give me ideas

  19. cheers mate, can't take any credit though, bought it from my mate, overall I'm very happy with it, has a few little scuffs and stone chip marks in the paint work which I'll get sorted at some time, engine wise it runs lovely though and hasn't long had new timing belt etc
