It's an evolution of ugly from the MK3.....and remember the MK2 was no oil painting!! If you really want something that looks good you have to pay and get away from the Euro boxes....or go for a classic!! Reminds me of this joke.... A woman standing nude in front of a mirror say's to her husband " I look horrible, I feel fat and ugly, pay me a compliment" He replies, "Your eyesight is perfect." It is what it is....but they will sell gazillions....
Personally I don't think the new rs won't be far off that design will probably have different alloys and a spoiler and jobs done. looks shocking though In my opinion. We've been spoilt the last couple gen of cars looking decent
I think its a decent looking normal car but not particulrly exciting. Most modern cars are boring. I personally think the RS Meg peaked at the 225 shape
Personally think the mk3 is one of the nicest looking cars on the road, if ever I see a 250/265/275 (which is once in a blue moon) when i'm out in the works van it makes me smile everytime. They really do look stunning imo. Everytime i walk out to my car aswell. I still like the r26s etc but the mk3s are a step up. I was actually going to buy myself an r26 but when i seen a 250 i absolutely loved it..
Yawn. Generic euro hatch. I do like the MK3 RS with flared arches etc I won't be surprised if they only offer the RS in a 5dr, seems to be the done thing now with hot hatches.
Really don't like this. Although to be fair I don't like the new shape Clio either. Renault trying to be bold and it backfiring IMO. Although I didn't like the new Focus RS when it first came out and I've warmed to to since seeing it in the metal so perhaps my opinion may change. But until then its a nope.
I really like it. I much prefer it to the mk2 and mk3. Although saying that I love the bold statement of the new front end on the mk3.
I don't mind it especially from the back, but the 5 door thing will kill it for me. Unless Renault bring out a competitor to the GT86/Caymen etc. for around £30k, i'll be going elsewhere. I don't care if it's FWD drive or auto only even.
Think it looks like a cross of the Clio RS 220 and Leon. Hope the mk4 Meg RS will look better than this. all for 5 doors, getting harder to squeeze in the back of 3 doors now And assume mates are the same.

Its really growing on me the interior looks great, big screen in the middle, head up display, alcantara seats with decent support, gt model is much lower (ie arch gaps) 4 wheel steer (assume brake bias) has race mode, launch control - all on the GT model hoping it means good things for the next RS - althought the focus RS pricing for 350bhp and 4wd is simply insane!

Auto express is full of shit though. It really is the Sun of the motoring press. The excerpt above was from AF stating that a 3 door coupe would be launched. I'd hold off the hate until a more respected source confirms one way or another.
I'm just wondering if Renault can get that front badge much bigger, maybe do away with a bumper altogether. :rolleyes:
I like it. This is only the GT so the RS should look a lot better. For me 5 door is the one. I've always preferred the look of a 5 door car....R32, S3 sportback look superb in 5. Ive had my 250 three years now and will be looking to change next year at somepoint or the year after once someone else had taken the big hit on the new price. The Mk4 RS is what I would want to go for as I've always loved renaultsports like most of us. However if it's auto that will be me done with Renault. And as someone has said the focus RS price is amazing! £28k for 345bhp 4 wheel drive! This up to now is my next car....awaiting renaults gearbox choice. Renault lost 1000's of followers with the Clio RS and they all converted to Ford Fiesta ST's.
