  1. Hi everyone,

Im a new member and have today purchased a megane r26.......Love it!!!!!

Ive never really had a car like this before so its going to take some getting used too :tongueout:

Just a couple of querys that im sure you guys can help with....

On a couple of occasions when braking the car pulled to the left????? Quite hard aswell which I obviously wasn't expecting

I bought the car from a dealer and its came with a new m.o.t with the only advisory being part worn breaks.

I also paid for a 3 year warrenty also so guess that will help.

Like I say this is all very new to me so any help or hints and tips would be awesome.

    Cheers. Dan

    Hi and welcome Dan
If you have just bought it from a dealer, then take it back and tell them there is a problem, even if you hadn't paid for the extended warranty they still have to warranty the car for at least 3 months (i think) the other thing is, if you try to fix it, they could refuse to do any work on the car.

  5. I'd say the brakes need replacing (pads & discs). This won't be covered under your warranty as they are a consumable item. Budget £600+ for OEM plus fitting.

Welcome Dan, get some pics up.

  6. Welcome, braking issuse could be alligment or discs

  7. Thanks for your replies guys. im going to take it to my local mechanic to see what his verdict is before deciding what to do. Also.... not everytime but sometimes when driving the engine management light comes on and flashes, then goes off again??? I googled this and people are saying coils/injectors? does this sound about right? cheers

  8. Yeah that sounds about right for injectors. You can get them cleaned as some have on here. Fairly common issue.

If the light has come on however, you should have a fault code stored in memory that you can get read to properly diagnose the problem. I'd do this before replacing anything tbh.
