250 New Air panel filter

  1. Need to get a new one, just wondering what people recommend.

Was looking at K&N and it says it fits on the 250 on their site, then looking at them on eBay as there £20 cheaper same model but says it doesn't ft?

I know it won't make much or any difference to performance but just wondering what people recommend and will actually fit!

    Cheers guys

  2. I have a BMC one, fits and does what it should.

  3. I have k&n in mine
Can hear it when you take the foam out of the airbox

  4. +1

  5. I also have the BMC, so far so good

  6. I have the pipercross. No complaints

  7. Was thinking of going BMC as I can get them for a good price.

However is it worth getting the ktec intake kit or is that just a waste of money (or even bad for the engine?)

Would love some more intake/spool up/boost noise!

  8. Take the foam out first, no need to change the panel filter. Changing the panel filter alone doesn't give any noise increase (it is not a noise insulating device, unlike the foam).

If you want insane spool noises, get the Injen short-ram kit which features an full aluminum inlet pipe which does not absorb any of the sounds. I have one of these fitted, and it is a joy to listen to, makes the engine sound very 'grunty' from the oudside as well. Made some outdoor videos the other day (fully stock exhaust, Forge dumpvalve):

  9. Tymen: very nice! Could you perhaps make a video from inside the cabin?

Where would one order the injen?
