New 225 owner

  1. Hi all,

just picked up a 'normal' megane 225 this week and first impressions are good, a very quick and roomy car.
came with a FSH and a stack of paper work, which sold it to me.

As as with any 2nd hand cars there's a few problems, the auto wipers don't work (but the lights do) and the keyless entry also doesn't work, been told it's because the main key I am using is a none genuine Renault part and the spare that is doesn't lock/unlock the car, but will start the car and get no error on screen
also a tyre pressure sensor is out and been told that when I get a new one it needs coding to the car. Not sure how true that is.

jobs of things I want to do:
Get my personal plate onto the car. Paperwork already sorted for that.
One of the curise control buttons on the wheel is broken so need to change that. One already ordered from eBay.
get the front brakes repainted as some one tried in the past and as made a bit of a mess, should they even be yellow?
the body work is in good shape but the wheels are a mess, not sure if I will refurb or change for the muti spoke.
    A remap

told myself and wife that I won't do much but as with my last car things can change

also need a good Renault specialist in the Manchester or Leeds areas.

Also what the French/Renault car scene is like as this is my first French car, before this I was into the Ford scene and did miss Ford Fair for 10 years. And have been show organiser, North West rep or admin on a number of Ford web sites.
