This year I ticked one off the bucket list! The misses and I and a couple of friends stayed in an apartment in Nice port for a week and tickets for race day, here's a few photos of the week, it was great This was the view from our apartment We went into Monaco on the Thursday to experience the place and listen to practice etc The train station is like something out of James Bond Some views as we walked through the streets Redbull racing ferrying staff around in Infinitis, they were all over the place This was in a shopping mall under Casino Square! There was a cordoned off exit where security let us through for a couple of minutes whilst the GP2 cars were on, sounded mint! Once F1 practice had finished many people left and there was still GP2 qualifying to come so we were able to borrow a couple of tickets for opposite the pits
We saw a few of the drivers returning from a briefing Chilton Hulkenberg Button Lewis and Alonso Got a wave from Alonso, was chuffed! And Sky's Ted
Race day...... This beauty was leaving port as we left Nice Our seats were overlooking the marina right at the top of the stand so we could see the start finish straight below us too Williams boat ferrying folks back and forth looked superb Drivers parade This guy was on a boat with his dad to watch the race! Jealous! Couple of my friends where out at it as well. Monaco is more about the actual place than the racing, as the race showed LOL. Im doing Spa next year but would like to try squeeze Monaco in to my Euro trip
You're so right about the race mate, all about the event itself, it's a testament to what's possible really, just an amazing spectacle.
Omg how jel I'm i, and there's me feeling sorry for my self coz I can't get hols for the silverstone! We've just had one of those Infiniti at work.... Very nice! I need another profession!!
