Had my R26 on the dyno today. Its totally stock. So 166hp - at the wheels Boosting @ 15psi = 1.03bar Torque is 230 FtLb Does it all seem about right compensating for power loss at the wheels as opposed to at the engine power ? The tuner mentioned he could slightly smell the cat converter inside the car, perhaps there is some blockage there ? Near future plans are a RS Tuning stage 1 remap, intercooler and de-cat.
If its any use: My R26 has a weak engine - only made 222Bhp on STd at Rs Tuning Dyno (226-232 Common) - but that was 185.6Bhp at the wheels with Std Map, with a clutch thats beenn replaced 7 months since..... Its was around 0.8 Bar by the looks of things... So in short - your at the wheel power does look like its a fair bit under the expectation
True , but if he sticks with a ED one they will be very close. Something is a miss there. Its very difficult saying what. Was the engine cold when it was dyno'd ? Standard intercooler ? Warm day ?
Think mine was 190 odd at the wheels on one dyno when it was std so yeah you are off mate, odd that you are making std torque though
I've had pretty conservative readings on this dyno before with another car. I live in New Zealand. Car had been running for a while on the dyno so was pretty warm. The tuner seemed to think everything was okay and when I said it should be about 225-230 at the flywheel he seemed to think it was on the money.
