  1. a short tire review about semeslicks from yokohama a058 and federal fz201
I wanted to give a short impression of the two tires.
maybe one or the other is looking for infos about the semis.
    yokohama A058
    advantage:
enormous grip level, converts steering commands extremely quickly, very quiet for semi, in the rain still quite useful to drive.

the A058 is an ingenious semi. would probably only be beaten by the top michelins and pirellis. although the one or other test there has already brought other results.
    disadvantage:
very, very expensive, already in new condition has very little tread, normal road tires you sort out with this less thred.
therefore also max. maybe 5 trackdays to drive. depending on the track and driving style ... but that can also be only 3

    federal FZ201
this tire I drive not so long and therefore have no complete overview.

from the grip not worse than the A058, but react not as fast on turn in as the yokohama, acts a bit more sluggish.
has after a trackday on the NS no visible wear. at the A058 you would already see the 0.3mm missing
from the price much cheaper. cost me the A058 about 1000€ and the FZ201 650€
    disadvantage:

are like all semis quite loud. not as extreme as the toyo R888 but much louder than the yokohama.
sounds like a broken wheel bearing.
to the behavior in the wet I can not say anything, but I suspect that he is rather worse.
you only have to look at the profiles of the two tires.
