My BOV is too loud!

  1. Hi,

Basically I purchased my 225 a few months ago and was over the moon with having my first turbo car that hasn't blown up within a fortnight (200sx S13 x 2) and the previous owner had fitted a Forge BOV which is quite atmospheric and unfortunately I can't find the invoice for it but I'm assuming it's not a recirc valve.

I got my backbox chopped on Wednesday and I can't really hear it over the BOV so I was wondering if anyone knew how to quieten them down and if the standard parts (which I still have) still give off a little whistle on gear changes as I'm starting to realise the BOV is a little chavvy if I'm honest. Also if anyone knows of a guide to remove and swap, that would be helpful.

I should note that I have a KTR Blanking plate fitted as well so not sure if this makes them louder?

    Cheers

  2. Try putting on the standard recirc plate and recirc it rather than vent to atmosphere...?
