Hey guys, just thought I’d say hi as I bought a red 2013 RS 265 from a fellow member a week and a half ago in Norfolk, and I’m from Birmingham. Anyway just gotta wait a month to insure it as being 20 with just coming up to 3 years no claims living in Birmingham (despite being a nicer part of Birmingham, yes not all of Birmingham is a shithole) is a big no no and looking at £2k odd for my 4th years’ insurance on it. It’s a big step up from my 2010 Clio GT 1.6 which I will be selling soon, which will be a very sad day as I love that car, but when you have a 265 sitting there as well, it’s obvious which one you’d rather keep. Here they are: Anyway, I have spent 5 or so hours today giving the 265 a clean and below are the results (after all the bug splatters and road dust on the 4 hour journey back, it needed it). I rinsed, snow foamed, rinsed, two bucket wash method with Bilt Hambler Shampoo and microfibre mitt, rinsed, dried, and applied some long lasting carnuba wax to most of the car. I will need to touch up a few bits as the paintwork has a fair few stone chips and a very light scrape on the rear quarter panel, but a lot of the car has now been coated. Hope to be active on here once I get some miles under my belt, so until next time...
I don’t see any in the north parts of Birmingham. I’ve seen 2 grey ones, a yellow and 2 white in a year and a half round here, so good to know there’s someone on here at least!
