So just been reading lots of old posts and one thing that seems very common is ball joint failures. Is the lower or upper more common to fail? Looks like the previous owner of my car had my outer which I think is lower joint replaced in 2017.
I think we should start taking weekly bets what you going to find wrong with your car next, in the 15 years+ I have been on various car forums ect, I have never met anyone that goes around looking for problems
There are uprated versions of all the ball joints available from a guy on facebook. I'm pretty sure he is on here somewhere also, they look good.
I got my 250 cup 2 weeks ago today. Had a few blasts and enjoying it, cant wait for spring. Need to get a few track days booked. Car seems pretty much spot on but sept I can hear front right knocking sound while driving over bumps at a relatively slow speeds. I knew about the ball-joint issues before buying the car. But didn't really twig on test drive until I bought it Is the best scenario the replace all 6 ball joints (3 at both sides) ?? That's saying if it definitely is a ball joint, I'm just assuming. Just looking to see what you guys think as I'm sure a lot of you will have been in this situation. Thanks Ben
From what I've been told you might as well do all at once as it's a few hours labour to get them and if one is faulty then the other won't be far behind. There's someone on the forum selling uprated ones and then you're looking at around £300 labour to do the lot. @Raptor6767 I think is the guy doing them.
Okay thanks. Have any of you guys used the uprated one, recommended? What's the uplift in price between the two sets anyone? Cheers
