   Why does every mk2 owner remove the rear wiper and blank it?
   Also does replacing the standard rear spoiler with an R26r spoiler give any performance benefit?

   Weight and to clear the look of the back up.
   
   No performance benefit - purely aesthetics.

   I like my rear wiper. The rear window can get very dirty very quickly. Like my r26r spoiler but as said, only because it looks nice.
