Mk3 Rs radiator bleeding

  1. Is their a simple way to bleed the coolant system, I can't seem to locate a bleed screw and trying to get the air out through the expansion bottle is taking forever

Is it not by the thermostat?

  3. I've just fitted a new thermostat, I didn't see any bleed screws or valve just the three bolts holding the housing on

  4. Unsure on the mk3's but as its still an f4r i'd imagine its in a similar place to the clio's/ mk2's which is a 10mm bolt near the thermostat think its just above the TDC sensor

  5. There is a screw on the coolant pipe that runs into the bulkhead. I know this from a leak i had after a radiator replacement.

  7. Follow the right hand side of the engine cover to the back, look behind the gubbins behind it & you will see 2 pipes running into the bulkhead (attached with green clips). On the right one there is a screw on the top front of it.

  8. Cheers lads, will have a look tomorrow
