Mk3 265 fuelling limit

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by James, May 10, 2016.

  1. Been messing with the inlet manifolds before I fit the new engine.

I'm looking to fit the 265 inlet manifold and injector rail along with the 265 fuel pump.

Does anyone know what power the standard fuel set up is good for?

Not sure if I will need bigger injectors?

Only really looking for 325 bhp max.

Be fine, I've ran 330+ on my stock setup for the past year. Ive only went for 630's to suit the Hybrid now

  3. Nice one Jamie.

  4. Sorry to hijack the thread, can I ask what modifications you had to a achieve 330?

  5. Jamie do you know if the 630 injectors you have are the same ones used on a 225?

I had 630's in my 225 engine so if they are the same I might just get an hybrid and fit them again.

  7. Looks like I will be selling both my 250 turbos then for an hybrid.

  8. James if it comes to selling your turbo let me know as I am still giving consideration to a hybrid by AET.

@-Jamie- what did you have done to get 330bhp?

Just the usual "Stage 2" Stuff @Eddie_ Decat, FMIC, Exhaust, Intake and a Map.

I will be selling the turbo on, Already have them listed on here

  10. That's grand I have the same and was hoping for around 310-320 but anything extra is a bonus. What are you running air filter wise?

  13. There is a big difference.

    225 is on the right.

    265 on the right.

The tracks (if that's what they are called)
    are also a different shape.

  14. Fitting a 250 inlet to a 225 engine won't work as you can see above.

Wonder what mods you had too Jamie as 330bhp on a 15t simply sounds impossible.

Standard fuelling would be maxed out at about 340bhp (250 system)
