Looking at some aftermarket alloys 18 x 8.5 ET53. Car is lowered 30mm on coilovers, can I run the above offset without spigot rings and without affecting the handling?
Spigot rings aren't to do with offset. They help centre the wheel. Always run with rings if they're needed Any change will affect handling. It's just whether you notice it Based on the online tools, it'll fit but will stick out more What are the exact wheels you're after?
Have you considered the TSW Interlagos? 18x9 +63? Closer to the factory offset. 8.4kgs a wheel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They will fit fine, Im running 18x9 ET55 with no issues even with a 255 tyre. Spigots arnt really needed either, My OZ's have a CB of 75 and I'm not running any, The wheel bolts centralise the wheel on the hub. Just a pain when fitting them but a stud conversion will solve that.
Jax Tyres are one of the Australian distributors. They quoted me $400 a rim ($1,600 AUD) and free tyre fitting if I got tyres with them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Are they sure? There's a 17"x9" with the correct PCD and +63 offset at that price but the 18"x9" is the incorrect PCD and +50 offset. I can only seem to locate Team Dynamics 1.3 at 18"x8.5" +55 ET or OZ Ultraleggera at 18"x9" +55ET.
TSW definitely have them in 18x9 +63. Furyz use to run them on his Megane. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
FuRyZ also said in 2015 that they were difficult to find. So it's possible that they ceased manufacture for that spec.
Hmm interesting, when I spoke to him a month ago he was praiseful of them. I only got that Jax quote about a month ago. It was Jax Tyres Bowen hills so they still make and sell them I would assume as they rang the Sydney supplier for me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Haha no problem. The Nurburgring ones look decent too and I think they have 3 colours. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
