This might be a little odd but I've noticed today that my second R26 doesn't have the puddle lights? Is there a reasonable explanation, and does anyone know if they can be retro fitted. Saying that, I'm now uncertain even if my first one had them . .. . .
Yup, mine has plastic blanks in and I am feeling cheated, you don't miss something until they've gone
I can't believe that puddle lights were an optional extra when mine has the auto dipping rear view mirror.
That is the cunning plan, although sticking my finger in the hole and waggling produced no feeling of conveniently located wiring plugs. However, I don't have E.T. length fingers so the only option is to a) ask big Ads what he knows and then b) whip the door card off.
Puddle lights were part of the lux pack I believe. If the wire is there it will be clipped/tied up to reduce rattles until the abysmal build quality gives way
they were fitted to the early R26's and when they intoduced the lux pack they stopped fitting them to the standard car.
There we are, mystery solved. I guess I'm going to be investigating this weekend whether the loom is there.
My 225 f1 has them. Can't say id miss them though if I didn't have them. I don't even notice them tbh
I suspect the latter. It's amazing how many slight differences there are between cars that are meant to be the same spec! Haha
Theres two looms iirc one with and without the connector for puddle lights most the later looms have it and its chopped off or tied up to stop rattle. Goin to check mine when i have the card off to seal the leak, the light units are only a few quid each if u do have the loom connector there.
I thought I read on the other site that it was a pain in the balls to do this. I'm defo keeping an eye on this thread. Will check inside my door card when I get time. Another job for the list. Lol.
