    Hello,

I've bought myself a Megane rs 265 a few weeks ago. Really enjoying the car so far, but I would like it to be a little louder. I've seen people doing mid box and back box chops. What's the difference between them soundwise? Is one louder than the other? Does it pop more?

    Thanks in advance

  2. Backbox seems to increase the volume across the revrange. Mid box increases volume more in the mid revs in my experience. High and low revs are not amazingly different.

Pops are louder with midpipe removed, but might be louder and more of them with backbox removed? Not sure, never did the backbox myself.

Kinda wish i did the backbox instead of mid if thats of any help. There are some good comparison videos on here somewhere.

  5. I’m happy with a mid box chop on mine. It sound nice when you give it some and it pops and bangs a lot. For me it’s a good compromise of noise and pops without being over the top.
