This afternoon had a chance meeting with a BMW (E46) M3 track car and thought that I might have a go at harassing him....these guys think that the E46 M3 is THE Ring car........naughty but fun! Safe driving...
Nice Vid, those constantly flashing brake lights just weren't annoying at all, they must come on when he engages race mode
Decent video, he's certainly holding you up But one little pointer... The E39 is the 5 series...unless you're calling it an E39 M3 because it has the 5.0 V8 from the M5 transplanted into it ?
Nice driving!! What do you do for a living? Just jealous that you seem to spend every day lapping the ring
Looked a bit tight in the foxhole! Have you got the rear camera footage, would be interesting to see if that white car had a heart attack lol it's not a good place to be there, as the right hand side pushes you in to the left (I think, from memory) and the left pushes you to the right, so even if you pull over you still feel like there's not enough room Out of interest are you flat through the foxhole? I don't know what mods you have. I did it flat in the R26.R a few times but it was always "interesting" coming over the crest on the other side so my preferred course of action was a pussy lift about three quarters of the way down and just drive it through the compression What you also haven't said is that you retired at 30 having made millions as a stock broker ... Though to be fair, bankers have Porsche turbos rather than Megs. No taste!
Foxhole compression depends on the approach speed if you take it flat or not. The Foxhole is a place for caution combined with speed and my completely worn away inner front and rear wheel arch liners can attest to that!!! For a lower lap time (if that's your aim) then speed can be made up in other, safer, places. Unfortunately I am no longer young and have never been wealthy .......just trying to live whilst I'm alive!!!!!!!!
@R26Man - are you there over the 4-8th Aug? Will keep an eye out for you if so and take a look at your Meg! Bit annoyed that the TF is only open in the evenings Thurs/Fri/Sat but guess that's cos of the ADAC GT on the GP track?
