Megane RS250 mk3 fuel gauge needle faulty?!?!

Discussion in 'Mechanical - Engine, Gearbox, Exhaust etc' started by Sean_192, Sep 29, 2018.

  1. Put £50 in the meg yesterday after just going onto red. Went up to a solid 3/4 of a tank. Since then I’ve done around 20-30 miles - a few of them harsh accelerations etc .. my fuel range has dropped considerably like 90 miles but fuel needle hasn’t moved at all?

Any suggestions on what this could be or am I over thinking it and needle will start to drop with few more miles maybe?

    Thanks

your over thinking it, the gauge is so small anyway so its very hard to see a slight movement, the size of the mk2 was better, they tend to drop quite quickly from a third down.
I have in my mk2 driven from Plymouth to Bristol and the gauge hardly moved

  3. Thanks for the reply. Hopefully it is that then. I’ll do some more driving tomorrow and see how it goes.
