Hi guys, noticed I’ve had top my brake fluid up a few times over the past months, around 3 days ago I noticed my clutch wasn’t coming back up by its self, went to go out and my clutch pedal is stuck to the floor, I noticed it looked damp under where the clutch damper is, is this the problem? Is there air in the system now? I’ve just replaced it with the hel braided hose, just struggling to bleed the system, what’s the best way to do it? Deffo some sort of leak and by the sounds it was the clutch damper line which reading your post you have now just replaced?
Yes I’ve replaced that, just trying to get the air out to get the pressure back in the clutch pedal. Will have another go tomorrow Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Pump the peddle as fast as you can for say 10 seconds, then press down and hold for an hour or so, be worth finding something to hold hold the peddle down while you go off and do something else.
Hi If the pedal to the floor doesn't work then pressure bleed or reverse bleed the clutch system. search and check out the previous posts on this process - 250 bleeding clutch, July 5th 2021. Kev
Large syringe and a bit of pipe on the bleed off, pull some fluid through. Will bleed up straight away.
Does anyone know if I have to use this part , because somehow I’ve lost the metal clip that holds it in I’ve tried to bleed it without it, still fits in fine, can I get a clip from Renault ? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That clip is an essential part of the system, it holds the pipe to the slave cylinder pipe, when it fully in that's the normal position, there is a second position, the clip needs to be pushed in and pulled out slightly, keep pulling and the clip should click into a second position, that position is the bleed position. Without that clip, there is a very strong possibility it will fly off the first time you press the clutch peddle. You will have to buy a clutch pipe for the clip, unless someone has an old pipe lying around.
I run without the restrictor on my setup. Prob not advisable but i don't seem to be having any problems without. Clip will be the same on most renault clutch pipes so should be able to get one from a breaker.

Reverse bleeding worked for me. I fitted a length of poly tube, opened the bleed nipple and waited for fluid to come through naturally, then I blew on the pipe, forcing fluid back. Pedal was sound after that. The renault manual tells you to do something similar with a syringe I'm sure.
As above pipe on the clutch bleed nipple, open it up and pull a few ccs of fluid through with a syringe. Ive done a few and even from dry they bleed up straight away.
Managed to get clutch back after leaving the car for a few days seems to be losing pressure again, not been able to drive it due to no mot thought it was fixed Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
