Megane Rear Bench - Zipping covers back together?

Discussion in 'Electrical & Interior - Security, ICE, Wiring Loom' started by Nickson, Jun 18, 2014.

  1. Evening guys,

Having just swapped out my Trophy rear seats for R26 ones, I swapped the middle seatbelt over to match the rest of the belts.

However, to do so you need to unzip the seat cover to gain access.

I have absolutely no idea how to zip this back together.. There aren't any sliders on the zip itself to use, I bought a 'zip repair kit' form eBay. None of them fit..

The proper tool is £42 from Ads @ Wolverhampton, which is something I really do not want to shell out for, to zip 2 seats back together!

The seats came with a different belt already fitted from the previous owner, but I cannot for the life of me remember or find out who I got them from..

Does anyone have any idea or actually have the tool that I could borrow for some beer tokens?

    Pictures..

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Cheers

  2. You can always slowly do it by hand  but would take at least one hour

  3. Sorted!

  4. told you!, you've got the zip the wrong way though, if you put it facing inwards it's easier to hide

  5. Ha, I took the zip off altogether!

It is an open ended zip both ends, so just zipped it straight off the end, tucked the ends in, job done!

  6. Where did you get the zip from?? Need to change the seatbelt over too.
