The car has a full service history, with the last major service carried out byMark Black (Midland Renault Specialist) in October 2014. I have just changed the oil and filter and fitted a set of OEM rear brake pads (car has covered approx 100 miles since).

Mark @ MRS has carried out most of the work on the car, fixing most of the general common issues associated with Megane's with replacement hub bearings, replacement steering rack bush, gearbox selector bush and a cambelt kit in March this year. At the same time he fitted the polybushes, R26R clutch (20% clamping force), lightened Single Mass flywheel (approx 5kg lighter) and a new clutch slave cylinder. The car was then mapped again in March this year making its power at RS Tuning (with graphs to prove). The car has covered less than 500 miles since.

The coilovers, brake lines/pads/fluid, seats and tyres were fitted in November last year and have covered less than 1500 miles.

The negative points (and I’m being honest as I can):
    - The car is a CAT D. It had a side impact from a transit van resulting in a new door and a bit of filler in the quarter. I have the pictures of the damage for anyone that is interested but it has been repaired to a good standard. It’s never bothered me as it’s a track car and most track cars will have replacement panels at some point!

    - The paint isn’t brilliant on the car (but reasonable for a car of this age – maybe I'm just too picky). The car will be treated to a full machine polish for the new owner just to put a bit of life back into it.
    - The airbag light is illuminated due to the steering wheel being replaced – this just needs turning off with someone that has a Renault CLIP (or refit the OEM wheel). I may get this done prior to sale if I get chance.
    - The airbag squib is on its way out – again an easy fix and if I get chance I may get this done prior.
    - The car doesn’t have a stereo.

The car is currently sat on 66k and has covered just over 4k in the year and half I have owned it. The car is brilliant track and is really well setup, a re. There are many people on here that could vouch for that. I am very reluctantly putting the car up for sale (so I am in no rush to sell the car!). Unfortunately, I just don’t use it enough and now having moved away from where the car is stored this is only just going to get worse, hence the reason for sale.

Due to the thousands (literally) being spent in the last year I am looking for £5750. I would prefer the car go to an enthusiast that will continue to look after the car and continue to improve the car.

    Located in York.

Pictures are from a trackday this year, more to follow once home at the weekend. Please see build thread for more info (http://www.rsmegane.com/showthread.php?6504-Tubes-r26-project-track) and contact me for more details!
