Hi everyone, I got a new car about two months ago and thought i would post some of it on here, More as a log i can refer back to with what has been done and what still needs to happen. This isn't my first RS Sport though, I have had a Silver 197, Megane 225 4 door, Clio 172 Phase 1 yellow (Still have this one) Clio 172 phase 2, and now an R26. So to start, I had been looking for an R26 for awhile and my mechanic Paul (Rstuning south africa) had been on the look out as well, he let me know a client of his was looking to sell, and it had been mostly serviced with Paul so i grabbed it (4500 pounds) I got the car about three months ago at 150k km, The car sat with Paul for those three months getting work done, The following has been done Stage 2 Rs Tuning map 630cc injectors Pec Rods Wossner Pistons 16t Turbo Forge intercooler Force Recic valve + Force cant remember the name of the other valve H&R added filter Hel braided break lines SMF New mounts all around as well as all suspension links and arms Engine wise i think this is about it till i go 18t or Garret Suspension: There is a knock at full lock so its either hubs or steering rack, Need to figure out wtf it is (will post a video at some point, maybe one of the lads can help me identify) Suspension and springs were done not so long ago but will likely get the grams spings and cup suspension Gearbox It feels a bit more notchy then normal especially getting into first / reverse so will have this refurbed or replaced Interior Once i got the car back i redid the roof lining in black, gear boot, steering wheel, front door cards. I'll get the visor and other bits redone in black as well as they stick out quite a bit now Seats are in good nic still but at some point i will get them redone Exterior Havent started on this yet, Refit bumper New front lip Clio RS Side skirts fix all minor dents and scratches R26 wing Might wrap the car in nardo grey / white not sure yet Car has 153k km on now and its going well
If anyone would like to recommend spacer sizing so i can have the wheels sitting flush in the arches, that would be great
Greetings from South Africa! Black Megs are the best So you had the head liner redone and I see it is in black now? That is quite cool. Mine is abit aged and is showing signs of the glue slowly giving in and letting go. Where did you get all this work done and what did it set you back?
That darker interior headlining does look good, must get around to doing mine (although it doesn't have a headlining at all right now!)
I had it done at leatherboyz in centurion, The headliner, door cards, gear boot, steering wheel all together was around 6-7k if i remember right. really nice work
