  1. Hello!

It’s great to meet you all here on the Renault forum!

I have a question regarding a strange noise I’ve been hearing from my Megane IV RS Trophy 2019 for about a week now. I’m trying to figure out what might be causing it.

    Youtube short with the problem:

    Car is 2019 with 71 k km

Here are the circumstances in which the noise occurs:

It only happens when the car is creeping at very low speed, when I slightly press the accelerator. The noise lasts for approximately 1 second after gently pressing the accelerator while in D.

In N and P, the car is completely silent, even when revving the engine to higher RPMs. The noise does not occur at all.
In R, the noise can sometimes be heard as well.

Generally, the noise doesn’t seem to follow the engine RPM while driving.

The noise only appears after the car has been driven for a while and is properly warmed up.

When the car is cold, or has only been driven for a short time, there is no noise at all.

Interestingly, even if the engine has reached its normal operating temperature, the noise may not appear if the car hasn’t been driven harder beforehand. It seems to occur only once the car has been properly warmed up, especially after a faster/more demanding drive.

Other gears works perfectly fine. There was an oil change done by the previous owner when car had 69k km, it was about 2000km back

Has anyone experienced anything similar with a Megane IV RS / Trophy or perhaps a similar Renault with the same drivetrain?

When I conected Kingbolen S6 diagnostic tool I read the following error codes:

    Clutch / solenoid valves
    • 097173Clutch solenoid valve circuit 1 — actuator jammed closed
    • 097072Clutch solenoid valve circuit 2 — actuator jammed open
    • 097073Clutch solenoid valve circuit 2 — actuator jammed closed

Gear-shift mechanism / shift fork actuators
    There were also four faults:

    • 091571SHIFT FORK, Actuator jammed
    • 091671SHIFT FORK, Actuator jammed
    • 091771SHIFT FORK, Actuator jammed
    • 091871SHIFT FORK, Actuator jammed
    20260808182034101091.pdf

These indicate that the transmission control unit detected a condition where the shift-fork actuator was stuck/jammed.

    Other TCM-related faults
    • 061348COMPUTER, Supervision software failure
    • C12188ABS/ESP multiplex transmission absent, Bus off — communication fault between ABS/ESP and the transmission.

Do you have any suggestions? This will be appreciated!
