Thinking of doing a full refresh on the front suspension on the 265. I know the upper and lowers are the same as the Clio and a pig of a job to press in/ out. For people that have had it done, would you stick with oem and buy from rofag from Poland or buy online. When I've been looking the top joint from rofag is £75 but online around £48. It adds up when your buying all 6 with it being £150 cheaper. Are you better off buying oem or are the aftermarket equivalents more than up to the job.
We have stuck only to Genuine Renault joints after testing and seeing various alternatives showing signs of premature failure. You will find the same OEM joints fitted to the Mk3 Megane RS as you would across the entire RENAULT SPORT range from current to former factory Race to Rally cars (Clio III Cup/ Clio III R3s/ Megane N4) and to this day still sell the same ball joints for their competition cars.
Looks like I'll stick with oem then. It's a big job so I don't want to buy the cheaper bushs if there not upto the job. The handling still feels great so having all new stuff must make a difference. How much deterioration do you think happens on a car after 56K miles.
Difficult to say on deterioration as each vehicle will vary depending on application and age - ie motorway miles, road car vs regular track car etc... but one would expect to find wear and tear on most moving parts especially rubber bushing. Below you will find the 3 versions needed for a complete overhaul on the front axle. All Genuine Renault joints.
