So today the megane decided it didn't like having a bit of fun earlier and decided to go into limp mode with engine light on. plugged it in and its got p0011 stored Camshaft Position - Timing Over-Advanced or System Performance (Bank 1) Now has anyone else ever had any issues with the VVT on a mk3 megane. I suspect its the vvt solenoid.
One of two things sprung to mind earlier but I was waiting to see if anyone else chimed up, TDC sensor which is common on the F4Rs but iirc should only give you trouble starting so if you're getting that while running it may be the camshaft sensor. At least those are cheap to replace, not sure on the vvt solenoid.
