Hi all, I pick my 265 up on sat, a few people have said the stereos/ sound quality from the speakers isn't very good. If this is the case, would a head unit upgrade be ok, or should a speaker upgrade be needed too. Which head unit would be the 1 to go for ? (I want to be able to control from steering wheel) Also which speakers would you recommended? Thanks. Andy.
you can get canbus adapters for most main brands of HU's, so the steering wheel controls still work, but you will lose the connection to the r-link screen - that's probably ok, though, as the HU will have its own display..
Regarding the original post, do you have std stereo or arkamys? i added an under the seat flat sub to my arkamys and now its 90% perfect for me. i did a thread if you search. Basically the small speakers cant cope with the bass, the small sub takes all the bass leaving the speakers to do a half decent job
Think it's the standard headunit. How would I be able to tell? After picking it up on sat, I'm thinking of fitting a flat sub under seat like a few others have. Anyone point me in the right direction of which 1 and how to fit it? Thanks. Andy
When you turn it on itll say arkamys on the screen if you have it or you will have an extra tweeter on each side next to the rear speakers. re the sub, i have a focal under seat sub but you can get a half decent one for £100. My local audio place wired it all in for £50 i think
