I know someone on YouTube used the rear interior light, with a suction cup mount but I don't know how that will hold up on a track day.
I use that too on track, just a sticky mount and extensions. I also use either the passenger side windows or the corner of the windscreen on the passenger side to fix the suction pad. Both allow to see drivers input.
I was under the impression that the track day organisers don't allow stuck on GoPro mounts? Something to do with risk of them falling off and distracting the driver.
What extensions do people use? Just the normal short ones with multiple screws to join them all? Or is there any decent 1 piece long ones?
There is a cheap ebay kit of 3 extensions. I will post a link. Some TDO have started being funny if not tethered but it's going a bit too far and difficult to enforce without pissing punters off...
The problem with GoPro's and similar action type cameras is they focus on the interior of the car if positioned too far away from the windows. Some good hints in here, will try some out - thanks
This is the view with it on the rear window in the centre. I think the lens is set at medium rather than wide.
Not a 250 but I like it from the passenger side (we drive on the left side in sweden). In this way you can see both driver and track!
Problem with putting the GoPro on the rear window is it mostly focuses on the interior of the car so the footage of the track is blurreded. I've suckered mine to the interior light on another car and it works perfectly but haven't found a good point for my 250 so would appreciate any ideas?
