If it's anything like the r26.. Yes... You get a nice roar on full throttle and the exhaust note is a little deeper... The turbo also seems to become more responsive and you get the sense it's breathing better straight away
Take it to someone who knows the cars, Should be a 4 hour job. I had mine done at the start of the year while my box was out though so couldn't tell you exactly how much it was
I had the whole of the front end of the car stripped down due to water ingestion and the flywheel/clutch was changed at the same time to a lightweight SMF so it made sense to do the decat while it was out
