Im wondering if anyone has managed to get their Bluetooth updated from 88.11 to 91.14? I’ve found the connection to my iPhone isn’t quite as stable as in my 265. Audio tracks don’t display properly and when I’m called it doesn’t always come through the stereo. From research the update needs to be done via CLIP and at a main dealer, or is it possible to do it yourself via usb? I’ve contacted my local dealer and explained what I wanted but the woman was clueless and just kept going on about a £99 diagnostic fee. I don’t want to pay that if it’s not going to fix the issue. Thoughts?
Popped into my local dealer and spoke to the head technical guy, seemed to understand what I was going on about but said it’s still £99 fee. Crazy for what is surely a 20 min job tops. Is it possible to put a 265 stereo into a 250. Want to keep it OEM, but assume the 265 has the updated software?
This is my plan...I’ve taken the stereo out of my 250 and I’m going to visit my folks this weekend. I’ll see if it works in a 265. If it does, but the Bluetooth is still having issues, I think it’s safe to assume that an updated 265 one would work in a 250? Without the issues hopefully. I’ll report back when I know.
Or find a specialist with Clip that will update the software for little, I was 20 quid to have mine done [emoji23]
Now that sounds like a belting idea. I was informed it was only Renault who could update the Bluetooth.
I didn't have any issues with mine but it was updated while it was in for other bits, probably due another update now tbf.
Just a little update, unfortunately a 265 stereo will not fit. The connections on the back are completely different. If I had bothered to look properly at the ones I’ve seen on eBay, I would have noticed the difference immediately!!
How would you get access to Renault net? Clip machines only seem to be about £100 on eBay so might be worth getting one.
