Anyone here had their 4th year service? My 250 came on the old 2 year/12k service schedule but I've serviced it every year regardless of mileage. Anyone know what the 4th year service involves? I seem to remember it contains a coolant and brake fluid change. My previous years have all been £199, so I'm curious to find out how much people have paid for this one?
have you done the spark plug change..? i think thats 36k or 3rd service. Ive had the 4th service and it certinly wasnt over than what you have quoted. remember cambelts are coming upto 5 years early next year so will need, belts, water pump, coolant, i think, pm mike at diamond motors
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. Cambelt is 6 years on the 250 schedule. I can see no mention of the spark plugs being changed on the last service, unless that's just part of the cost of the "Silver Service" that was on my receipt. The car is on 28k at the moment. Diamond Motors would be a bit far to me! I'm in Cardiff so it's pointless to have to take a day off and travel to end up not saving anything.
My car is 4 years old and had my 3rd service at 37k and it was £230 at Rentec a Renault specialist in Edinburgh. That was air filter, pollen filter, oil and filter change plus coolant. I had changed the brake fluid changed when I upgraded my pads. I think it was an extra £30 for the brake fluid. Renault wanted £345.
Spark plugs are defo due on that service mine had its 3rd service at 35k and they were changed. Think I paid 280 tho !
Thanks chaps. Changed the brake fluid myself a few weeks back so that's fresh. I didn't bleed the clutch though (and I'm aware it's a shared reservoir). I guess I'll phone up and see what price Renault give me in a week or so.
